Later this year at a date picked by the Prime Minister - voters in the UK will decide whether to choose Gordon Brown′s ruling Labour Party or David Cameron′s Conservatives. Most journalists and commentators think other opposition parties, such as the Liberal Democrats, stand little chance of coming to power. Traditionally Labour appealed to working class voters who favoured socialist ideals, with the Conservatives′ main popularity being among the richer middle and upper classes. In recent years, though, class divisions have been more difficult to draw, making the politicians′ job increasingly complicated.
